Synth On The Dock Of The Bay is an experimental album by Cronkite Satellite that was slowly released as singles over a 2 year period of time. The original idea was to minimize the usage of guitars on the album and instead focus heavily on synthesizers, while simultaneously breaking as many preconceived notions on how a song is meant to be structured. The writing started in 2019 when he was trapped in Ko Samui (Thailand) during a rare tropical storm named Pabuk. The creative process continued during one of the darkest years in our modern lifetime, 2020. Cronkite Satellite was under a strict lock-down in Singapore because of Covid-19 restrictions and was helpless in watching his hometown of St. Paul/Minneapolis go up in flames due to a tragic event that played out on the world stage. But in all of this uncertainty came a ray of hope, where he and his wife were blessed with a child. Through it all, Cronkite Satellite was able to harness these experiences and create a unique sonic journey that takes the listener to a new and unimaginable frontier while also teaching him new skills to further advance his future works of art. ... more

old school like a floppy disk no counterfeit that can copy this please excuse me while i reminisce a mental shift while we drift a retroactive trip remember when we used to run from the cops split up, then meet down the block at the spot they could never catch us like the past behind us just a trail of dust i remember when life was simpler like when we built forts out of snow in the winter friends go friends stay but the smell of rain reminds me of summer holidays give it to the children everything we're building nothing is a secret nothing should be hidden blue skies are on the rise a small town with big dreams i see it in your eyes how does one overcome such a situation no question in my mind the hardest part about coming home is saying goodbye but how does one overcome such a situation i've played more clubs than a deck of cards i'm smooth like sauce more gifts than santa claus defying nature's laws living abroad come on more hits than a lightning rod a few pounds ago there was a song i wrote but it was trapped in the back of my throat i couldn't let it go as we ventured further down the road i explode and expose my soul to the world as you know some of y'all's only seek the flaws i can't hear your hate over the crowds applause girls (yeah) keep ‘em in your bras unless you hate the laws then break free like alcatraz everyone is seeking perfection maybe this perceptions is making this ship change direction correction instead of regretting your reflection this obsession’s got you double guessing your blessing how does one overcome such a situation no question in my mind the hardest part about coming home is saying goodbye but how does one overcome such a situation

we’re all searching for the meaning to capture that feeling we all have different ways of dealing with breaking the walls and ceiling i’ll do what is needed until my body is depleted makes me cry every time puts my mind in rewind whoopsy-daisy a moment of clarity pushing up daisies a moment of clarity it's lonely at the top especially at rock bottom my soul is weak my soul is rotten and soon forgotten give them something to love give them something to hate give them something terrible disguised as something great whoopsy-daisy a moment of clarity pushing up daisies a moment of clarity
